Redpower 2 Wiring brings sub blocks to the game. Sub blocks can be used for many things, including decoration, compact circuiting, covering wires and much more. Only certain blocks in Minecraft can be cut into sub blocks. Most sub blocks only require a 2x2 crafting grid, but some need 3x3.

To begin, you will need to craft a saw. You can either craft an iron saw or a diamond one, if you have Redpower World installed you can also craft the saw using any of the three gems. Note that the iron saw will cut only soft materials. The diamond and gem saws will cut all the other blocks.

The cutting hierarchy goes like this (in this exmaple a stone block is used)
You can click the sub block or item you want to make to jump to its recipe.

Contains the slab, panel and cover (1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 of the full block) the strips, hollow blocks and items that are made / can be cut from them.

Jacketed wire:There might also be cases where you want or need to run power without walls or blocks. This is where Jacketed wires come into play. They allow for freestanding placement of wires and are self-supporting. It is possible to created jacketed wires using any material that can be cut into covers.
